Polk Parkway
State Road 570 (SR 570), also known as the Polk Parkway, is a controlled-access toll road which runs through Polk County, Florida. It is operated as part of Florida's Turnpike Enterprise system of tolled freeways. The Polk Parkway mainly serves as a beltway around Lakeland forming a semicircle, which along with I-4 circumscribes most of the city limits of Lakeland. As part of Florida's Turnpike network, SunPass, E-Pass, and LeeWay electronic toll collection were recognized along with coin collection at toll plazas and interchange ramps. The Polk Parkway didn't, however, employ open road tolling like numerous other toll roads in Florida until on September 23, 2022, at 8:00 pm, when it went to all-electronic tolling, like the other toll roads within the network. Florida's Turnpike Enterprise
Florida's Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) is a unit of the Florida Department of Transportation that operates toll roads in Florida. The current executive director is Nicola Liquori. History The Florida State Turnpike Authority was authorized by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Dan McCarty as the Turnpike Authority Act on June 11, 1953. The Authority was reorganized and incorporated into the newly formed Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in July 1969. Mulberry, Florida
Mulberry is a city in Polk County, Florida, Polk County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Lakeland, Florida, Lakeland–Winter Haven, Florida, Winter Haven Lakeland–Winter Haven metropolitan area, Metropolitan Statistical Area, with parts of unincorporated Lakeland on its northern boundary. Central Polk Parkway
The Central Polk Parkway, also known as State Road 570B (SR 570B), is a proposed controlled-access highway, controlled-access toll road in Polk County, Florida. The proposed road is actually two separate roads—called ''legs'' by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The western segment will connect the Florida State Road 570, Polk Parkway with Florida State Road 60, SR 60 between Bartow, Florida, Bartow and Lake Wales, Florida, Lake Wales. Lakeland Linder International Airport is a public airport five miles southwest of Lakeland, in Polk County, Florida.
