Political text messaging is the practice of sending text messages as part of a political ad campaign. It has grown significantly as a practice in election cycles in the United States since the late 2010s. Text messaging, or texting, is the act of composing and sending electronic messages, typically consisting of alphabetic and numeric characters, between two or more users of mobile phones, tablet computers, smartwatches, desktops/laptops, or another type of compatible computer.
