Police Intelligence Department
The Police Intelligence Department (PID) is a staff department of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). Its primary purpose is to collate and analyse information obtained from the various departments of the SPF, as well as other sources, to support law enforcement activities in Singapore. The department is also the staff authority on matters relating to intelligence in the Singapore Police Force (SPF). History On 1 April 1973, the Criminal Intelligence Unit (Abbreviation: CIU) was set up within the Criminal Investigation Department (Abbreviation: CID) to support CID's investigation efforts. Subramaniam Iswaran (; born 14 June 1962), commonly known as S. Iswaran, is an Indian-born Singaporean former politician who served as Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations between 2018 and 2024 and Minister for Transport between 2021 and 2024. Criminal Investigation Department (Singapore)
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is one of the many departments under the Singapore Police Force for premier investigation and staff authority for criminal investigation matters within the Singapore Police Force.
