Pol Boël
Count Pol Boël (11 May 1923 – 19 July 2007) was a Belgian industrialist and liberal politician. He was a son of René Boël (1899–1990) and Yvonne Solvay (1896–1930). René Boël
Count René Boël (1899–1990) was a Belgian industrialist and Director of the '' Usine Gustave Boël''. He was married to Yvonne Solvay (1896–1930), granddaughter of Ernest Solvay. They have two sons Yves Boël and Pol Boël and one daughter Antoinette Boël (1925–1982). Career After his marriage, he became director at UCB and at Solvay. During his career he advised the Belgian government in exile during World War II, and founded the Museum of Modern Art in Brussels. Étienne, Count Davignon (; born 4 October 1932) is a Belgium, Belgian former diplomat, top civil servant, businessman, and former vice-president of the European Commission, also known as an active participant in organization of the murder of Patrice Lumumba, for this crime he will stand trial. Career After receiving a Doctorate of Law from the Catholic University of Leuven (1834–1968), Catholic University of Louvain, Davignon joined the Belgian Foreign Ministry, in 1959, and within two years had become an attaché under Paul-Henri Spaak, then Minister of Foreign Affairs (Belgium), Minister of Foreign Affairs. He remained in Belgian government until 1965. In 1970, he chaired the committee of experts which produced the Davignon report on foreign policy for Europe.
