NSW Premier Cricket, formerly and still commonly known as Sydney Grade Cricket is a cricket competition played in Sydney, Australia, and is highest level club cricket competition in the state of New South Wales The competition began in 1893 when a number of clubs that had been playing for many years on an ad hoc basis voted to create a formal competition structure. The NSW Premier Cricket competition is played on turf wickets, and is played on Saturdays and begins in mid-September and continues until the grand final is played on the first weekend of April. Spectators are mostly few and far between at matches, mostly family members, partners or club members. The exception to this is at T20 matches which can attract crowds into the hundreds and occasionally the low thousands. Corey Collymore
Corey Dalanelo Collymore (born 21 December 1977) is a former Barbadian cricketer, who represented the West Indies team in both Tests and ODIs cricket as seam bowler. Collymore was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy. Collymore also played for Barbados, Warwickshire, Sussex and Middlesex in his cricketing career. International career Collymore made his test debut for the Windies in 1999 against Australia, where he bowled around the 90 mph mark. Gavin Robertson
Gavin Ron Robertson (born 28 May 1966) is an Australian former cricketer. He was a right-handed offbreak bowler and a lower-order batsman. Career Robertson made his debut for the New South Wales Blues in 1987. Two seasons later he moved to Tasmania in search of more playing time. He moved back to New South Wales after 2 seasons with the Tigers and was part of the successful 1992–93 Sheffield Shield-winning team. He retired in 2000. Robertson made his Test debut for Australia in March 1998 against India in Chennai. He claimed 5 wickets in total. Aaron Bird
Aaron Christopher Bird (born 28 September 1983) is an Australian former cricketer who played first-class cricket for New South Wales. He played as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. Bird arrived from Taree, NSW as a 16-year-old to play Sydney Grade Cricket with North Sydney Cricket Club, eventually going on to play First Grade as an 18-year-old. In this time with North Sydney, Bird hit the headlines when he hit former Test batsman Michael Slater injuring the former test star in the process. Bird now plays his cricket with Bankstown Cricket Club, former home of the Waugh brothers. Mark Daniel Stoneman (born 26 June 1987) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire County Cricket Club and has previously played for England. He made his international debut for England in August 2017. He bats left handed and normally plays as an opening batsman. Early life and domestic career Stoneman attended Marley Hill County Primary School, followed by Whickham School. Corey John Richards (born 25 August 1975) is a former Australian first-class cricketer. He was born at Camden, New South Wales in 1975. Career In 1995–96 Richards made his first-class debut for New South Wales and was relied upon as a solid top-order batsman when he won the NSW Player of the Year award in 1998–99. A poor season in 2002–03 saw him dropped from the state side. Len Pascoe
Leonard Stephen Pascoe (born Leonard Stephen Durtanovich, 13 February 1950) is a former Australian Test and One Day International cricketer. Born at Bridgetown, Western Australia, Pascoe was educated at Punchbowl Boys' High School in New South Wales, where he was a classmate of Jeff Thomson. The two of them would form a close friendship, playing cricket together at club, state and Test level. Pascoe played in 14 Tests and 29 ODIs between 1977 and 1982, during which time he transferred to World Series Cricket. In the 1980 Centenary Test at The Oval in London, he took 5/59 in the 1st innings. Jeffrey Robert Thomson (born 16 August 1950) is a former Australian cricketer. Known as "Thommo", he is one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket; he bowled a delivery with a speed of 160.6 km/h against the West Indies in Perth in 1975, which was the fastest recorded delivery at the time, and the fourth-fastest recorded delivery of all time.
