Plínio Marcos

	Plínio Marcos Plínio Marcos de Barros (29 September 1935 — 19 November 1999) was a Brazilian writer, actor, journalist and playwright, author of several stage plays adapted into film. Called a "Poète maudit" by some, his work features the life and struggles of underground characters, touching themes such as violence, prostitution and homosexuality, and was censored by the Brazilian military government, military government. Early life Marcos was born in 1935, in Santos, into a poor family. He finished only the primary school before dropping out. Marcos worked as coppersmith, served the Brazilian Air Force and played football for Associação Atlética Portuguesa (Santos), Portuguesa Santista, but he found his way into acting working as a circus clown when he was 17 years old. 	O Pasquim ''O Pasquim'' was a Brazilian weekly newspaper published in Rio de Janeiro from 1969 to the mid-1970s. It was critical of the military dictatorship and it is considered the founding periodical of Brazil's alternative press. The idea for the periodical began in 1968 after a meeting of cartoonist Jaguar with journalists Tarso de Castro and Sérgio Cabral. They were looking for an alternative to substitute Sergio Porto's tabloid ''A carapuça''. 	Cacilda Becker Cacilda Becker Iaconis (6 April 1921 – 14 June 1969) was a Brazilian actress. Life and career Born Cacilda Becker Iaconis, she was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Edmondo Iaconis and Alzira Becker. She had two sisters. One was Cleyde Yáconis, who also became an actress. Her parents' marriage broke up when she was nine years old and her mother was forced to raise the three daughters alone. They settled in the city of Santos. Being the daughter of divorced and poor parents Cacilda could not establish friendships with people of high society, and instead began to frequent the bohemians and avant-garde circles in the city.
