Jackson (2009), "Odor-mediated response to plants by ''Evarcha culicivora'', a blood‐feeding jumping spider from East Africa", ''New Zealand Journal of Zoology'' 36(2):75–80 Distribution Most species occur in Asia, Africa and parts of Europe, with ''E. amabilis'' and ''E. hoyi'' found only in the United States. ''E. proszynskii'' is found from Russia to Japan and Canada to United States. Species , the World Spider Catalog accept ...

''Pachyonomastus'' is a monotypic genus of East African jumping spiders containing the single species, ''Pachyonomastus kittenbergeri''. It was first described by Lodovico di Caporiacco in 1947, and is only found in Africa. The name is a combination of the Ancient Greek ("pachys"), meaning "thick", and the related genus ''Onomastus''. The species is named in honor of Kálmán Kittenberger Kálmán Kittenberger (Léva, 10 October 1881 - Nagymaros, 4 January 1958) was a Hungarian traveller, natural historian, biologist and collector. Hyllus
In Greek mythology, Hyllus (; Ancient Greek: Ὕλλος) or Hyllas (Ὕλᾱς) was son of Heracles and Deianira, husband of Iole, nursed by Abia. Mythology Heracles, whom Zeus had originally intended to be ruler of Argos, Lacedaemon and Messenian Pylos, had been supplanted by the cunning of Hera, and his intended possessions had fallen into the hands of Eurystheus, king of Mycenae. After the death of Heracles, his children, after many wanderings, found refuge from Eurystheus at Athens. Eurystheus, on his demand for their surrender being refused, attacked Athens, but was defeated and slain. Hyllus and his brothers invaded Peloponnesus, but after a year's stay were forced by a pestilence to quit. They withdrew to Thessaly, where Aegimius, the mythical ancestor of the Dorians, whom Heracles had assisted in war against the Lapidae, adopted Hyllus and made over to him a third part of his territory. After the death of Aegimius, his two sons, Pamphylus and Dymas, voluntarily su ...
