Pleasure Train (album)
''Pleasure Train'' is the first album by singer, songwriter, producer and composer Teri DeSario, released in 1978 by Casablanca (NBLP 7115). The album includes the disco hit " Ain't Nothing Gonna Keep Me from You", which was written and co-produced by Barry Gibb. The version featured on this album is different from the 12" version. Also included was "You're the Stuff Dreams Are Made Of", which peaked at number forty-one on the disco chart. CD release Gold Legion released ''Pleasure Train'' on CD in early June 2012 as an expanded edition. The track listing included the extended 12" versions of "Ain't Nothing Gonna Keep Me from You" and "The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of". Teri DeSario
Teri Lynn DeSario (born November 27, 1951) is an American singer-songwriter from Miami, Florida. Career DeSario worked within several music genres out of high school. She was a vocalist and played both recorder and harp from 1970–1977 with a medieval and Renaissance music group named the Early Music Consort. The group was headed by scholar and Pro Musica member Arnold Grayson. She began her career as a singer/songwriter in the folk genre and later expanded her love of folk music with her passion for jazz. After marrying horn player, arranger, and composer Bill Purse, they founded a pop-folk-jazz collaborative called Abacus. One night, a long-haired man walked into the club where she was performing and claimed to be the producer of the Bee Gees; to their surprise, he was. Betty Wright
Bessie Regina Norris (December 21, 1953 – May 10, 2020), better known by her stage name Betty Wright, was an American soul music, soul and Rhythm and blues, R&B singer, songwriter and background vocalist. Beginning her professional career in the late 1960s as a teenager, Wright rose to fame in the 1970s with hits such as "Clean Up Woman" and "Tonight Is the Night". Wright was also prominent in her use of whistle register. Don Gehman
Don Gehman is an American record producer, engineer, and executive, best known for his work with John Mellencamp and Hootie & the Blowfish. AllMusic calls him one of "the most successful producers of the 1980s and 1990s." As a sound engineer, he also helped invent the modern rock P.A. and monitor systems. Early life Gehman was born in Blue Ball, Pennsylvania. As a child, he was interested in science and his parents' Magnavox stereo. His interests evolved from a photography dark room in the basement to chemistry to physics to electronics. Gehman played bass guitar in a rock band when he was fourteen years old. He became interested in music technology after learning how to set up the band's P.A. sound system. He started building his amplifiers. Soon, he was building P.A. systems for events and local bands.
