Playism
Playism (stylized as PLAYISM) is a Japanese independent video game publisher operated by Active Gaming Media. Playism started as a digital distribution platform for PC games in May 2011. History Playism was launched by Active Gaming Media in May 2011 as a digital distribution platform for PC games. It was founded by Shunji Mizutani, who has run it as executive producer since. Its launch titles included ''Machinarium'' and ''SpaceChem''. Its goal was to introduce western-developed indie titles to the Japanese market, and to localize Japanese doujin games for overseas audience. In April 2013, Playism began a project with HAL College of Technology & Design in both Osaka and Nagoya. The project involves students creating games in four-person teams over a period of several months. Active Gaming Media
Active Gaming Media Inc. (AGM) is a localization company based in Osaka, Japan. Founded in 2008 by CEO Ibai Ameztoy, the company's main focus lies in providing localization services for video games. AGM has since branched out to provide services such as game debugging, marketing, promotion, voice acting, and publishing for games and anime. Having worked on a number of titles for various platforms including PlayStation 3, PS Vita, PC, as well as online and mobile games, AGM has collaborated with a number of major Japanese video game companies, including Sony Corporation, Grasshopper Manufacture and Capcom. Notable titles are Demon’s Souls, No More Heroes, Monster Hunter, the survival-horror series Resident Evil, and the Devil May Cry series. La-Mulana
''La-Mulana'' (stylized as ''La•Mʊlana'') is a Platform game#Platform-adventure game, platform-adventure video game, designed to imitate the look and feel of MSX games. Released on June 27, 2006, in Japan for Microsoft Windows, the game was only available in Japanese, but an English translation patch has been produced by Ian Kelley of AGTP. The game was later remade from the ground up in a 16-bit style for the Wii, and later PC, Mac, Linux and PlayStation Vita. Gameplay The protagonist of the game is Lemeza, a whip wielding adventurer exploring the tomb within La-Mulana. Although there is only one ending in the game there are many ways to get there, in that completing objectives in the game (gaining power ups and reaching new areas) is not linear, nor is there an obvious recommended path to take. Kero Blaster
is a platform game created by Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya released in 2014 for Windows and iOS. It was the first major released from Pixel since ''Cave Story'' in 2004. The game places a heavy emphasis on shooting and received positive reviews on both platforms. A short, free demo titled ''Pink Hour'' was made available a month before the full game's release. A short, free companion game and sequel to ''Pink Hour'' titled ''Pink Heaven'' was released in November 2015, coinciding with the new ''Kero Blaster'' update. The Silver Case
is an adventure visual novel video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by ASCII Entertainment for the PlayStation in 1999. It was directed, designed and co-written by Goichi Suda. A remastered version was released digitally by Grasshopper Manufacture worldwide for Windows and macOS in 2016. A port for the PlayStation 4 was released by NIS America in 2017; this was a physical release. A Japanese release of the PlayStation 4 version was released in March 2018 by Nippon Ichi Software. Astebreed
is an Action game, action shoot 'em up 3D computer graphics, 3D video game developed by Edelweiss and published by Playism for Microsoft Windows in May 2014, for PlayStation 4 in March 2015, and for the Nintendo Switch in November 2018. Gameplay ''Astebreed'' is an action shoot 'em up game. The player controls a mech with several attack options being that of a blade attack, a blade dash attack, a spread shot of 'bullets', two different lock-on functions, and a special "ex-attack". The various attacks are also the means by which the player defends either by canceling out enemy projectiles using the main gun or sword, or by using the sword dash attack to dodge.
