Platinum Film
The Platinum Film ( nl, Platina Film) is a film award recognising domestic box office achievements in the Netherlands. It is awarded for the first 400,000 visitors of a Dutch film production. In 2003, one of the requirements for the award was raised from 200,000 to 400,000 visitors. All films that had received the Platinum Film for 200,000 tickets sold, would also have received the award under the new criterion, with the exception of '' The Moving True Story of a Woman Ahead of Her Time'' (2001). Netherlands Film Festival
The Netherlands Film Festival ( nl, Nederlands Film Festival) is an annual film festival, held in September and October of each year in the city of Utrecht. During the ten-day festival, Dutch film productions and co-productions are exhibited. Besides feature films, the program also consists of short subjects, documentary films, and television productions. On the closing evening of the festival, the Golden Calves are awarded to the best films, directors, and actors. Netherlands Film Fund
The Netherlands Film Fund ( nl, Nederlands Filmfonds) is a subsidy fund for Dutch film productions and was founded in 1993. The Netherlands Film Fund is itself mainly subsidized by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. In 2007, the total budget of the fund was €33,000,000. The fund gave €651,174 subsidy to the film ''Character'' (1997) and €578,570 to the film '' Black Book'' (2006). Since 2001, the Netherlands Film Fund and the Netherlands Film Festival recognize box office results of Dutch films with awards.
