Platì
Platì (; ) is a town and ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Reggio Calabria, in Calabria, southern Italy. It rises above sea level on the slope of the Aspromonte mountains and is located next to the Aspromonte National Park. History Platì was founded in 1505 when Ferdinand II of Aragon granted the fief Platì and Santa Barbara to Carlo Spinelli, member of the noble Neapolitan Spinelli family, princes of Cariati. The small hamlet that was set up was named Platì in 1704. The area was apparently populated by ex-convicts from the prison of Reggio Calabria as a kind of penal colony. Kalymnos
Kalymnos (; ) is a Greek island and municipality in the southeastern Aegean Sea. It belongs to the Dodecanese island chain, between the islands of Kos (south, at a distance of ) and Leros (north, at a distance of less than ): the latter is linked to it through a series of islets. Kalymnos lies between two and five hours away by sea from the island of Rhodes. In 2021 the island had a population of 17,752, making it the third most populous island of the Dodecanese, after Kos and Rhodes. It is known in Greece for the affluence of much of its population, and also stands as both the wealthiest member of the Dodecanese and one of the wealthiest Greek islands overall. Mark Plati
Mark Plati is a New York–based musician, record producer, and songwriter, best known for his work in the 1990s with David Bowie. Early life and education Plati grew up in Aurora, Colorado. He studied at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music's audio technology program, and gained a bachelor's degree in telecommunications, an associate's degree in audio technology and a minor in music. Career Upon graduating, Plati spent just over a year working at a recording studio in Dallas, Texas, before moving to New York City, where he became a remixer and programmer at another recording studio. His first major booking was working with Prince at his Paisley Park studio. He met David Bowie by "happy accident" a short while later, the beginning of a fruitful partnership. Plati co-produced Bowie's 1997 ''Earthling'' album. Plati, Evros
Plati () is a village in the northern part of the Evros regional unit in Greece. It is part of the municipal unit Trigono. Plati is located on the left bank of the river Ardas, between the villages Elaia to the west and Arzos to the east. Population History The village was founded by the Ottoman Turks, it was known as ''Sadirli'' then. After a brief period of Bulgarian rule between 1913 and 1919, it became part of Greece. As a result, its Bulgarian and Turkish population was exchanged with Greek refugees, mainly from today's Turkey. Giovanni Benedetto Platti was born possibly 9 July 1697 (according to other sources 1690, 1692, 1700) in Padua, then belonging to Venice. He was an Italian Baroque composer and oboist.
