Platanoussa
Platanoussa (, before 1927: Ραψίστα - ''Rapsista'') is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Katsanochoria, Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. The community consists of the villages Platanoussa, Dafni and Zoodochos Pigi. Platanoussa is situated on the eastern slope of the Xerovouni mountain, above the right bank of the river Arachthos, at about 460 m above sea level. It is 8 km northeast of Anogeio, 29 km north of Arta and 31 km southeast of Ioannina. Xerovouni (, also Ξηροβούνι ''Xirovouni'') is a mountain in the southern part of the Epirus region, Greece. Arachthos (river)
The Arachthos () is a river in the eastern Epirus region of Greece. Its source is in the Pindus mountains, near the town Metsovo ( Ioannina regional unit). The Arachthos is long and its drainage area is . Its upper course is known as '' Metsovitikos''. From its confluence with the Dipotamos near the village of Batza it is called Arachthos. It flows towards the south, passing between the Athamanika and the Xerovouni mountains. Here it reaches the Plaka Bridge, the largest one-arch stone bridge in Greece. It enters the large Pournari Reservoir, in the Arta regional unit, which is about 18 km² and prevents flooding of the city of Arta and also supplies water to most of Epirus. Anogeio
Anogeio (, "High-land") is a village and a former municipality in the Preveza regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ziros, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 71.698 km2. Population 697 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Gorgomylos. Anogeio village (elevation 1200 m) is located on the western slopes of Xerovouni, in the Pindus mountains of Epirus.
