Plastic Eternity
''Plastic Eternity'' is the eleventh studio album by American grunge band Mudhoney, released on April 7, 2023, and their eighth released on Sub Pop. It has received positive reviews from critics. Recording, release, and promotion ''Plastic Eternity'' features the first Mudhoney songs written with someone outside the band, producer Johnny Sangster, who appears on several tracks. Most of the songs on the album were not completely written prior to entering the studio, which is uncharacteristic for the band. When the band felt that certain songs needed another key change or a bridge, Sangster was helpful in coming up with suggestions. According to singer Mark Arm "there was sort of the fog of recording where no one was taking notes of who actually came up with whatever idea. angsterwas definitely coming up with ideas. Mudhoney
Mudhoney is an American rock music, rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, on January 1, 1988, following the demise of Green River (band), Green River. Its members are singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner (guitarist), Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999, but rejoined the band in December 2000 for a tour that lasted through January 2001. Mudhoney's early releases on the Sub Pop label, particularly their debut single "Touch Me I'm Sick" and the ''Superfuzz Bigmuff'' EP, were instrumental in the creation of the grunge genre. ''Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge'' is the second studio album by American rock band Mudhoney. It was recorded at a time when the band was thinking of signing to a major record label, but decided to release the album on Sub Pop in 1991. The album shipped 50,000 copies on its original release. It was credited with helping to keep Sub Pop in business. Guitarist Steve Turner has said that the album is his "favorite Mudhoney album as a whole." There is an alternate version of "Check-Out Time" on the ''Let It Slide'' EP. Production The album was recorded on low-quality tape via an 8-track desk. It is named after a mnemonic used by music students to recall the notes ( EGBDF) on the lines of the treble clef. ''Superfuzz Bigmuff'' is the debut album and first major release by the Seattle grunge band Mudhoney. It was released in October 1988, through record label Sub Pop. The album was later re-released in 1990 in the form of ''Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles''. Background and writing The album was named after two of the band's favorite guitar effects pedals: the Univox Super-Fuzz and the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, which helped to provide the band's signature "dirty" sound. The cover artwork is a photograph of frontman Mark Arm (left) and guitarist Steve Turner (right) performing live by photographer Charles Peterson. Other artwork on the album includes more photos of the band performing and them posing topless. He became interested in rock music after hearing The Residents, and formed a band with school friends. He has written and recorded as The Legend.
