''Plasmodium eylesi'' is a parasite of the genus ''Plasmodium'' subgenus ''Plasmodium''. Like all ''Plasmodium'' species ''P. eylesi'' has both vertebrate and insect hosts. The vertebrate hosts for this parasite are mammals. Description The parasite was first described by Warren ''et al.'' in 1965.Warren McW., Bennett G.F., Sandosham A.A. and Coatney G.R.
