Plaskynaston Lane is a demolished football stadium in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, Wales. It was the home stadium of Cefn Druids A.F.C. of the Cymru Alliance. The stadium held 2,000 spectators. The last game played at the ground was the Tony Collins Memorial Cup Final U12, between Llay FC and Marford & Gresford FC, refereed by Lewys Evans in memory of a former Cefn Druids A.F.C. player. Cefn Mawr () is a village in the community of Cefn within Wrexham County Borough, Wales. Its name translates as "big ridge".Mills, D. The Cymru Alliance League (known for sponsorship reasons as Huws Gray Alliance) was a football league in north and central Wales which formed the second level of the Welsh football league system. From the 2019/20 season onwards, it was replaced by the Cymru North. If the team which finished top of the league held a Domestic Licence, it could apply for promotion to the Welsh Premier League and was replaced by one of the bottom two teams in the Welsh Premier League. The Rock (stadium)
The Rock, Rhosymedre, near Wrexham, Wales is the current home stadium for Welsh Premier League team Cefn Druids. In March 2009 planning permission was granted to demolish Cefn's old stadium, Plaskynaston Lane, and replace it with a Tesco supermarket. Delays to the beginning of construction put the project back by 12 months and the club moved into the new stadium in August 2010. Facilities The new complex at Rhosymedre includes a 512-seat stand, a club house and a television gantry. As it is sited in a disused quarry, one side of the stadium features a sheer rock wall. In 2016, a 3G pitch was installed at the stadium. Rhosymedre () is a village within the community of Cefn, in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. The Anglican church, which was consecrated in 1837, is dedicated to St John the Evangelist, and is part of the Diocese of St Asaph. Former vicars include John David Edwards (vicar from 1843 to 1885), whose most famous hymn tune composition is Rhosymedre, upon which Ralph Vaughan Williams later based an organ prelude. The quarry behind Rock Road was originally the source of stones for building the Llangollen Canal, and also the houses of the local mining community.
