Pitchshifter Albums
Pitchshifter (originally Pitch Shifter) are an English industrial metal band from Nottingham, formed in 1989. The band was started by lead guitarist and programmer Johnny A. Carter, and bassist and vocalist Mark Clayden. The band's early material was characterized for its gritty industrial metal sound with downtuned guitars and the use of drum machines, and has been cited as one of the originators of the genre along with Godflesh. With later albums the group's music became increasingly more melodic and strongly influenced by nu metal and drum and bass; particularly evident of their 1998 release '' www.pitchshifter.com'', which has been compared with groups like The Prodigy. JS Clayden
JS Clayden (born Jonathan Seth Clayden, 24 March 1971) is a British singer/songwriter. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the band Pitchshifter. He moved to several towns in the United Kingdom, settling in Nottingham, England for a number of years before emigrating to Los Angeles, California. He is also the brother of Pitchshifter's bassist, Mark Clayden. Biography In 1989, Clayden, along with his brother and bassist/programmer Mark Clayden, formed the musical group Pitchshifter (then called "Pitch Shifter"), going on to found PSI Records in 2002. Career He has worked with producers such as Dave Jerden and Machine. Other collaborators include longtime friend Jello Biafra. Nine Inch Nails, commonly abbreviated as NIN (stylized as NIИ), is an American industrial rock band formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. Damnation Festival is an annual heavy metal music festival currently held at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester. It was held at Jilly's Rockworld in Manchester from 2005 to 2006 and then at the University of Leeds from 2007 until 2021. It is organized by Gavin McInally and Paul Farrington. Phoenix Festival
The Phoenix Festival was set up by John Vincent Power of the Mean Fiddler Music Group in 1993 as an alternative to the established Glastonbury and Reading Festivals. It was held at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford-upon-Avon, England, and was one of the first four-day festivals in Britain. History The first year of the festival (1993) featured headline performances by Sonic Youth, Hole, Faith No More and The Black Crowes, and included other notable acts such as Manic Street Preachers, Julian Cope, The Young Gods and House of Pain. Ozzfest
Ozzfest was an annual music festival tour of the United States and sometimes Europe and later Japan, featuring performances by many heavy metal music, heavy metal and hard rock musical groups. It was founded by Sharon Osbourne and her husband Ozzy Osbourne, both of whom also organised each yearly tour with their son Jack Osbourne, and was held almost annually between 1996 and 2018. The Prodigy
The Prodigy are an English electronic music band formed in Braintree, Essex, in 1990 by producer, keyboardist, and songwriter Liam Howlett.
