Piru is a village in the Aurangabad district, Bihar, Aurangabad district in Bihar, India. Vaanbhat who was noble in the court of Harshvardhan belongs to Piru. According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Piru village is 252763. Piru village is located in Haspura subdivision of Aurangabad district in Bihar, India. A piru is a fiend or demon in Finnish mythology. It was borrowed from Slavic mythology and was the counterpart of Perun, Slavic thunder god. Luhu was an Austronesian language spoken in the west of Seram Island in eastern Indonesia. It was spoken in Luhu village on Hoamoal Peninsula at the western end of Seram, and in Boano and Kelang islands, off the western tip of Seram Island. Alexandru Piru (August 22, 1917 – November 6, 1993) was a Romanian literary critic and historian. Born in Mărgineni, Bacău County,Alex. Ștefănescu"Al. Piru", in ''România Literară'', nr. 10/2002 his parents were Vasile, a notary, and his wife Elena (''née'' Chelaru). In 1936, he graduated from Ferdinand I High School in Bacău, thereupon enrolling in the literature and philosophy faculty of the University of Iași. He graduated in 1940, and completed the pedagogical academy in Bucharest the following year. From 1943 to 1944, he taught at the National College in Iași. Piru then settled for good in Bucharest. In early 1946, he became a teaching assistant in George Călinescu's department at the University of Bucharest. Havildar, Company Havildar Major Piru Singh Shekhawat (20 May 1918 – 18 July 1948) was an Indian Army non-commissioned officer, awarded the Param Vir Chakra (PVC) posthumously, India's highest military decoration for gallantry. Born serving British Raj, later Singh enrolled in the British Indian Army on 20 May 1936, and was assigned to the 1st Punjab Regiment. Between 1940 and 1945, he served on the North-West Frontier Province (1901–55), North-West Frontier and as an instructor, before deploying to Japan as part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force. After Independence of India, independence, he took part in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, serving with the Indian Army's Rajputana Rifles, 6th Rajputana Rifles.
