Pir () is a Nepali song composed by Prakash Saput. Sung by Prakash Saput and Samjhana Bhandari, featuring Saput and Surakshya Panta in the music video. Released on March 12, 2022, it tells the story of former Maoist guerrillas disappointed by the unmet promises of the revolution. Background and composition ''Pir'' was composed by Prakash Saput. Saput himself sang and acted the male role, while Samjhana Bhandari sang the female role. The song contains a distinct folk rhythm. Prakash Bishwakarma, better known as Prakash Saput () is a Nepalese singer, composer, model, and actor, known for his contribution towards Nepali folk music. He is known for raising social and political awareness through his music. He gained recognition from the masses with the song '' Bola Maya'' in 2018. Surakshya Panta ( Nepali: सुरक्षा पन्त) is a Nepalese actress, creative director, and producer. She made her acting debut in Alok Nembang's 2015 film '' Ajhai Pani'' in a supporting role. Online Khabar is an independent private online news portal of Nepal established in 2006, providing news in Nepali and English languages. There is no print available from this media house. The 2022 Nepalese local elections were held on 13 May 2022 in 6 metropolitan cities, 11 sub-metropolitan cities, 276 municipalities and 460 rural municipalities.
