Pippo Caruso
Giuseppe Caruso (22 December 1935 – 28 May 2018), best known as Pippo Caruso, was an Italian composer, conductor and music arranger. Biography Born in Belpasso, Catania, Caruso linked his professional success to the television presenter Pippo Baudo, who had been his university fellow and that Caruso regularly flanked as conductor in his TV programs starting from '' Canzonissima 1973''.Aldo Grasso. Belpasso
Belpasso ( scn, Malupassu, Marpassu or Mappassu) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about southeast of Palermo and about northwest of Catania. Belpasso is the second biggest comune of the Catania's area for area (after Catania). The original town was destroyed by the lava flows from Mount Etna in 1669. Rebuilt in a lower plain, that habitation was known as ''Fenice Moncada''; the latter name derives from the family of the Princes of Paterno who owned the feud. This habitation proved malarial and was heavily damaged by the 1693 Sicily earthquake, causing the spot to be abandoned and named ''Malpasso'', and the present town was founded in 1695 in lands belonging to the Duke of Montalto. Fara in Sabina, also spelled Fara Sabina, is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Rieti in the Italian region Lazio, located about northeast of Rome and about southwest of Rieti.
