Pinnacle Peak is a granite summit located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The peak rises to an elevation of . It is located within the Pinnacle Peak Park, operated by the City of Scottsdale Park District. Part of the Sonoran Desert, the park is home to a variety of native desert flora and fauna. Hikers utilize a 1.75 mile trail to explore the area, though rock climbing skills are needed to reach the summit. History The area around Pinnacle Peak was used by the Hohokam for hunting and food gathering. Later, settlers began to use the area for ranching and mining, with homes gradually being built within sight of Pinnacle Peak. Pinnacle Peak and its surrounding area became a part of the Arizona State Trust Land. In the 1980s, the area was annexed into Scottsdale and was established as a park. Pinnacle Peak (King County, Washington)
Pinnacle Peak, also known as Mount Peak, is an 1,801-foot-elevation forest-covered summit located in King County of Washington state. It is part of the Cascade Range and is set at the western edge of the range, immediately south of Enumclaw, Washington and 25 miles northwest of Mount Rainier. There are two other Washington summits with the same name: Pinnacle Peak in the Tatoosh Range to the south of Mount Rainier, and Pinnacle Peak in North Cascades National Park. History First called ''Mount Pete'' for Pete Chorak, an early Enumclaw settler, ''Pete'' became misheard as ''Peak'', and the name ''Mount Peak'' received some followers. Pinnacle Peak is a 6,562 ft (2,000 m) peak located in Mount Rainier National Park in Lewis County, Washington. It is the second highest peak in the Tatoosh Range. There are two other Washington summits with the same name: Pinnacle Peak near Enumclaw, Washington, roughly to the northwest, and Pinnacle Peak in North Cascades State Park.
