Piment Fort
''Piment Fort'' was a popular Quebec humoristic game show hosted by the colorful Normand Brathwaite which aired on TVA (Canadian TV network), TVA from 1993 to 2001. Piment Fort means "hot pepper" in French. A revival of the show has been announced as part of TVA's 2016 Winter TV season. Overview The show's concept was to invite three humorists a week and to make them participate in a variety of games which led them to crack jokes and tell funny stories. The show was recorded in front of a live audience (18 years and older, because there were alcoholic drinks served) in Montreal's Café Campus located on 57 Prince-Arthur East. After each game, the audience was asked to vote for the player who made the best joke or story. The winning player received a hot pepper as a trophy. Maxime Martin (born 20 March 1986) is a Belgium, Belgian professional racing driver and son of four-time Spa 24 Hours winner Jean-Michel Martin. He currently is an Aston Martin Racing driver for which he competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship between 2018 and 2020. Peter Macleod
Peter B. MacLeod (October 26, 1930 – May 29, 2001) was a Canadian politician and farmer. He represented 3rd Kings in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1982 to 1989 as a Progressive Conservative. MacLeod was born in 1930 in Lorne Valley, Prince Edward Island. He married Glenda Mae MacLeod in 1953. MacLeod was a farmer by career, and also served as a school trustee. MacLeod attempted to enter provincial politics in the 1978, and 1979 elections, but was defeated both times by Liberal Bud Ings. MacLeod ran again in the 1982 election, and was elected councillor for the electoral district of 3rd Kings. Pierre Légaré (2 June 1949 – 5 October 2021) was a Canadian humorist, writer, and psychologist. Pierre Légaré was born on 2 June 1949 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He received a degree in psychology from the Université de Sherbrooke and practiced as a psychologist before entering comedy in the late 1970s. He wrote for theater, television, and radio. His first solo comedy special, ''Recherchez Légaré'', was released in 1989. He received a Guinness world record for ''Mots de tête'', the "shortest broadcast in the world". Anthony Kavanagh (born September 26, 1969) is a Canadian stand up comedian, actor, singer and TV presenter. After a successful career on the francophone stand-up scene in Quebec, he became a major star in France and is now a popular television host. Early life Anthony Kavanagh was born to Haitian parents on September 26, 1969. He made his stage début in a high school talent show at the age of 14. In 1989, he won the Best New Comic Award of the Juste pour rire Festival ("Just for Laughs") in Montreal. This award propelled him onto the Quebec show business scene.
