Pilar Calvo
Maria Pilar Calvo i Gómez (born 3 May 1963) is a Spanish journalist, politician and a member of the Congress of Deputies of Spain. Early life Calvo was born on 3 May 1963 in Barcelona, Spain. Career Calvo is a sports journalist and has been a member of the Association of Journalists of Catalonia (Col·legi de Periodistes de Catalunya) since 1989. She has worked for various media organisations including Catalunya Ràdio and TV3. Her career at Catalunya Ràdio's sports department began when the station was established in 1983. She provided daily news on FC Barcelona and for 13 years she participated in the ''Futbol a Catalunya Ràdio'' show. She then moved to TV3 where she presented programmes such as ''Gol a Gol'', ''Entorn'' and ''Tres punts''. She has worked as a production assistant for Televisión Española and written articles for '' Sport'', '' El Periódico de Catalunya'' and '' Futari''. Congress Of Deputies
The Congress of Deputies ( es, link=no, Congreso de los Diputados, italic=unset) is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament () in Madrid. It has 350 members elected by constituencies (matching fifty Spanish provinces and two autonomous cities) by closed list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. Deputies serve four-year terms. The presiding officer is the President of the Congress of Deputies, who is elected by the members thereof. It is the analogue to a speaker. In the Congress, MPs from the political parties, or groups of parties, form parliamentary groups. Josep Rull
Josep Rull i Andreu (born 2 September 1968) is a Spanish politician from Catalonia. He served as the Counselor of Territory and Sustainability of Catalonia at the Government of Carles Puigdemont between 2016 and 2017, when Spanish Rajoy's Government ceased the Catalan executive following the Catalan declaration of independence amid the application of Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution. Between 2 November and 4 December 2017, he was jailed and again since 23 March 2018. He was a member of the Catalan Parliament but on 10 July 2018 a Supreme Court judge suspended him as a deputy. In the 2019 general election he was head of the Together for Catalonia candidacy for the Province of Tarragona. Joaquim Forn
Joaquim Forn i Chiariello (born 1 April 1964) is a Spanish politician and lawyer from Catalonia. A former deputy mayor of the city of Barcelona in north-eastern Spain, Forn served as Minister of the Interior from July 2017 to October 2017 when he was removed from office following the Catalan declaration of independence. Born in 1964 in Barcelona, Forn graduated from the University of Barcelona before joining the legal profession. A supporter of Catalan independence, Forn joined the nationalist Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC) whilst a student. He was elected to the Municipality Council of Barcelona in 1999 and in 2011 he became the city's first deputy mayor, serving until 2015. The trial of Catalonia independence leaders, legally named and popularly known as the , was an oral trial that began on 12 February 2019 in the Supreme Court of Spain. The case was tried by seven judges and was chaired by judge Manuel Marchena. Barcelona is one of the four constituencies ( es, circunscripciones) represented in the Parliament of Catalonia, the regional legislature of the autonomous community of Catalonia. The constituency currently elects 85 deputies. Its boundaries correspond to those of the Spanish province of Barcelona. The electoral system uses the D'Hondt method and a closed-list proportional representation, with a minimum threshold of three percent.
