Pilar Barril
Pilar Barril (10 October 1931 – 30 September 2011) was a Spanish tennis player who was active during the 1950s and early 1960s. She and María Josefa de Riba were the first Spanish women to play international tennis tournaments after World War II. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Fay Toyne (born 18 December 1943), also known by her married name Fay Toyne Moore, is a retired tennis player from Australia whose career spanned the 1960s. Toyne was a doubles finalist at the 1966 French Championships. Partnering Jill Blackman they were defeated in three sets in the final by compatriots Margaret Smith and Judy Tegart. In the singles event her best result at a Grand Slam event was twice reaching the fourth round. Elena Subirats Simon (30 December 1947 – 28 March 2018) was a Mexican professional tennis player. Raised in Mexico City, Subirats was a singles gold medalist for her country at the 1966 Central American and Caribbean Games and 1967 Pan American Games. Ana María Estalella-Manso (5 May 1933 — 21 November 2015) was a Spanish tennis player. Estalella, born in Madrid, was the daughter of Ana Manso de Zúñiga and Ramon Estalella Pujola. Her father, a diplomat and painter, was of Spanish descent but became a Cuban subject. He served as Head of Mission for the Cuban Embassy in Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. Due to her father's adopted nationality, Estalella was also considered to be foreign and was excluded from Spain's national championships until 1959.
