Pier 3
Pier 3 () is a shopping center in Magong City, Penghu County, Taiwan that opened in 2018. Developed by Ever Rich Duty Free, it is the largest shopping mall and duty free shop in the county. The mall is located in close proximity to Penghu Airport. Facilities In addition to the international boutiques, perfume and cosmetics and other duty-free shops and brands, the mall houses the largest indoor non-mechanical power recreational stadium Star Quest GO STAR Challenge in Taiwan. The Whiskey 101 Experience Showroom in the mall is the first international whisky experience hall in Taiwan, which presents the whisky production process and its history. There is also a food court in the mall that houses various themed restaurants. Magong City
Magong (Pe̍h-ōe-jī, POJ: ''Má-keng'') is a county-administered city and county seat, seat of Penghu County, Taiwan. Magong City is located on Penghu's main island. Name The settlement's Mazu temples, temple honoring the Chinese folk religion, Chinese Goddess Mazu, the Shen (Chinese religion), deified form of Lin Moniang from medieval Fujian Province, is usually accounted the oldest in all of Taiwan and Penghu. The Penghu (, Hokkien POJ: ''Phîⁿ-ô͘'' or ''Phêⁿ-ô͘'' ) or Pescadores Islands are an archipelago of 90 islands and islets in the Taiwan Strait, located approximately west from the main island of Taiwan, covering an area of . Penghu Airport
Penghu Airport , formerly Magong Airport (), is a domestic airport in Huxi, Penghu County, Taiwan. With 2,380,265 passengers in 2017, it is the fifth-busiest airport in Taiwan, The ROC Air Force also has Magong Air Base here. History Penghu Airport opened in 1957 with a focus on military personnel and cargo transportation. The construction of the new terminal began in 1966 and was subordinate to Kaohsiung Airport. The airport was officially established as a Type C airport and began operations on 1 August 1977. In August 2004, the second phase of a new terminal was completed, which included the waiting room and terminal building. In June 2015, a new instrument landing system at the airport was inaugurated which was expected to improve safety, reducing the visibility requirement for the runway from 1,600 to 1,200 metres.
