Pianophasing
Pianophasing is music work based on a vision of the work's composer, Kristoffer Zegers. Pianophasing is a work written for 30 to 100 piano's. This composition is going around the world and is been played in the United Kingdom, Huddersfield festival, Australia, Adelaide, the Soundstream festival, Seattle United States. Development As a child, Zegers was fascinated by the rhythmic phases of church-bells, which never ring in time. When he began to compose, he noticed that even pieces of music with minimal rhythmical differences are sometimes subject to these phases. It is this 'weakness' (which often appears just by playing) that is the strongest element of pianophasing, making rhythmical variations possible despite the piece being fully composed and notated. 50 pianists and 25 pianos come together in this large-scale performance. Kristoffer Zegers
Kristoffer Zegers (born 27 December 1973) is a Dutch composer. Life Zegers was born in Breda, and was taught by Gilius van Bergeijk, Jan Boerman, Martijn Padding, Clarence Barlow, Diderik Wagenaar at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Career In Zegers' music microtonal clusters are the main object. His music is about slow developments in clusters via glissandi. Church Bells

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival
The Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (also known by the acronym HCMF, stylised since 2006 as the lowercase hcmf//) is a new music festival held annually in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Since its foundation in 1978, it has featured major international figures of experimental and avant garde music, including guest composers such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Louis Andriessen, Terry Riley, Brian Eno, John Cage, Steve Reich, Jonathan Harvey, Helmut Lachenmann and Sir Harrison Birtwistle. Its programme also includes improvisation, installation, sound sculptures, happenings, new technology and free jazz. Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards
The Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards are given annually for live classical music-making in the United Kingdom. The awards were first held in 1989 and are independent of any commercial interest.
