Phouoibi Shayon
''Phouoibi Shayon'' ('), also simply known as Phouoibi, is a 2017 Indian Meitei language mythological film, about goddess Phouoibi and other celestial fairies who came down to earth to prosper the human civilization. The film is directed by O. Samananda, starring Lilabati, Kaiku Rajkumar and Gokul Athokpam, under the collaboration of ''Kanglei Movies World'' and ''Sergey Film Production''. Plot Goddess Phouoibi and her divine sisters are ordered by God Koupalu (Koubru) to go down to earth to prosper the human civilization. On the way, she meets Akongjamba in the Moirang kingdom and the two fall in love with each other. Meitei (; ) also known as Manipuri ), is a Tibeto-Burman language of northeast India. It is the official language and the lingua franca of Manipur and an additional official language in four districts of Assam. Koupalu
Koupalu is a primordial deity in Sanamahism. He is the protector of the Meiteis, guardian of the North West direction and the founder of Meitei civilization. He lives on the summit of Mount Koubru. Description Koupalu (or Koubru) is a primordial deity in Sanamahism, the indigenous religion of Manipur. He is the omniscient and omnipotent guardian god of the Meiteis and the guardian of the north-west direction. According to legend, he is the progenitor of the civilization of Kangleipak, which he founded at Mount Koubru, near modern Imphal in north-western Manipur, where he resides. Moirang
Moirang () is a town in the Indian state of Manipur, best known for the tentatively listed UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Keibul Lamjao Conservation Area (KLCA), covering Keibul Lamjao National Park (KLNP), the world's only floating national park, the buffer of Loktak Lake (140 sq km) and Pumlen Pat (43 sq. km). Akongjamba
Akongjamba was a nobleman in Ancient Moirang in Meitei mythology. He was a lover of the harvest Goddess Phouoibi. According to mythology, fate did not permit the lovers to unite, so they reincarnated. The lives of the two legendary lovers were believed to be enacted by Thangjing as a part of the epic cycles of incarnations (Moirang Saiyon of the Moirang Kangleirol legends). Rajkumar Kaiku (born 3 January 1974) is an Indian actor who appears in Manipuri films. He has appeared in over 400 Manipuri films.
