Photograph Smile
''Photograph Smile'' is the fifth studio album by English singer-songwriter Julian Lennon, released in 1998, after a seven-year hiatus following his previous album, '' Help Yourself''. A promotional sampler was released in 1999 in the US containing the tracks: "I Don't Wanna Know", "Day After Day" and "And She Cries". The music video of "I Don't Wanna Know" features a parody band of The Beatles called The Butlers. The music video features The Butlers (Ken, a parody of John Lennon; Hector, based on Paul McCartney; Daisy, based on George Harrison; and Bingo, based on Ringo Starr) in a concert with many screaming fans. The concert takes place on a stage similar to the arrow stage from The Beatles' appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. There is also a box seat with the Queen and Prince, played by Julian Lennon. Julian Lennon
Julian Charles John Lennon (born John Charles Julian Lennon; 8 April 1963) is an English musician, photographer, author, and philanthropist. He is the son of Beatles member John Lennon and his first wife Cynthia; Julian is named after his paternal grandmother Julia. Julian inspired three Beatles songs: " Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" (1967), "Hey Jude" (1968), and " Good Night" (1968). Lennon started a music career in 1984 with the album '' Valotte'', best known for " Too Late for Goodbyes" and the title track, and has since released six more albums. Sitar
The sitar ( or ; ) is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music. The instrument was invented in the 18th century, and arrived at its present form in 19th-century India. Khusrau Khan, an 18th-century figure of the Mughal Empire has been identified by modern scholarship as the inventor of the sitar. According to most historians, he developed the sitar from the setar, an Iranian instrument of Abbasid or Safavid origin. Gerald Linford Beckley (born September 12, 1952) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician, and a founding member of the band America (band), America. Early life Beckley was born to an American father and an English mother. He began playing the piano at the age of three and the guitar a few years later. By 1962, Beckley was playing guitar in The Vanguards (not to be confused with the Norwegian band), an instrumental surf music band in Virginia. He spent every summer in England and soon discovered British invasion music.
