Phoenix Hong Kong Channel is one of the six channels that Phoenix Television operates. It was launched on 28 March 2011 in order to serve Chinese viewers in Hong Kong, and it is Phoenix Television's first Cantonese language channel that is available across Hong Kong. This channel now broadcasts through cable television and satellite television systems. Some programmes are broadcast in Mandarin Chinese. 97% of the company is owned by a single holder in Beijing named Vivian Huo, managing director at H&H Capital Partners. Phoenix Television is a majority State-owned enterprise, state-owned television network that offers Standard Chinese, Mandarin and Cantonese-language channels that serve mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and other markets with substantial Chinese-language viewers. It is headquartered in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It is also registered in the Cayman Islands. The founder of Phoenix TV, Liu Changle (), formerly served as an officer and political instructor in the People's Liberation Army in its 40th Group Army. Phoenix Movies Channel is one of the six channels that Phoenix Television operates. It was launched on August 28, 1998, and replaced Star Chinese Movies in Hong Kong and mainland China and serves as an encrypted pay-television service. Currently the encrypted signal is beamed via AsiaSat 3S across China, Vietnam (Via HTVC) and South Korea (Via SBS). In the beginning, it was broadcast via cable in Hong Kong, and via satellite to Taiwan, and other regions worldwide besides the mainland. Due to stiff competition from other Chinese movie channels, the channel was withdrawn from those regions. TVB Finance, Sports & Information Channel () was a Cantonese-language free-to-air terrestrial television channel in Hong Kong. Owned by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), it first launched on 31 December 2007 as TVB HD Jade, before relaunching as TVB J5 on 22 February 2016.
