''Philiris'' is a genus of butterflies in the family Lycaenidae. The species of this genus are found in the Australasian realm (New Guinea, Bismarck Islands, Molucca Sea, Molucca Islands and eastern Australia, predominantly in Queensland), mostly inhabiting tropical rainforests. ''Philiris'' was erected by Julius Röber in 1891. It is a speciose genus. Tite decided on 56 species. Sands added 11 species and placed the taxa into 21 species groups (broadly accepted by Parsons). ''Philiris bubalisatina'' is a species of butterfly of the family Lycaenidae. It is found in Papua New Guinea (West Sepik and Western Highlands provinces). The length of the forewings is about 20 mm. The ground colour of the forewings is black, with a large area of shining purple lilac extending from the base to near the end of the cell and the postmedian area. The underside is uniformly glossy pale buff cream, the apical area suffused with dark scales. The hindwings are shining purple blue and bluish white nearest to the costa. ''Philiris baiteta'' is a species of butterfly of the family Lycaenidae. It is found in Papua New Guinea (Western and Madang provinces) and Papua (Snow Mountains).
