Philippine Racing Club
The Philippine Racing Club, Inc. (PRC) is a horse racing institution in the Philippines. Founded in 1937 as the Santa Ana Turf Club in Makati, it is located at the Saddle and Clubs Leisure Park in Naic, Cavite where the Santa Ana Park racetrack is situated. Currently, it is one of the three racing clubs in the Philippines; the other two are the Manila Jockey Club Incorporated (MJCI), and the upstart Metro Manila Turf Club (MetroTurf). PRC is a member of the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom). History PRC was started out in 1937 when a group of Filipino and American businessmen organized the first racing club during the first years in the Commonwealth era: the Santa Ana Turf Club (SATC). Carmona, Makati
Carmona is one of the 33 barangays of Makati, it is located in the northern part of the city. It is a residential area with a population of 3,109 recorded by the 2015 census. The barangay was named after Comandante Isidro Carmona, a Filipino soldier who fought during the Philippine Revolution against Spaniards. Horseracing in the Philippines began as a recreational activity in 1867. Its history is divided into three major time periods based on the breed of horses raced, in conjunction with the three significant eras of Philippine history. Rappler (portmanteau of the words "rap" and "ripple") is a Filipino online news website based in Pasig, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It was founded by 2021 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Ressa along with a group of fellow Filipino journalists as well as technopreneurs. Circuit Makati is a riverfront redevelopment project by Ayala Land on the site of the former Santa Ana Race Track in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines.
