The Philippine Paralympic Committee (PPC), formerly known as Philippine Sports Association for the Differently Abled—National Paralympic Committee of the Philippines, is the national sports association for physically impaired athletes, tasked to spearhead developing sport competency for Filipino persons with disabilities. It is the Philippine National Paralympic Committee which is duly recognized by the International Paralympic Committee The Philippine Sports Commission provides funding support for the PPC's operations and sport competitions. The Asian Paralympic Committee (acronym: APC) is an organization based in United Arab Emirates. It has 44 National Paralympic Committees of the Asian continent as members. It organizes the Asian Para Games and is affiliated to the International Paralympic Committee. History The Asian Paralympic Committee was formed on 30 October 2002 in Busan, South Korea as the Asian Paralympic Council, following a motion presented by NPC Malaysia at the 1999 IPC General Assembly. Sailing At The 2015 ASEAN Para Games
Sailing at the 2015 ASEAN Para Games was held at Marina Bay, Singapore, from 6 to 8 December 2015. There were initially 4 gold medals for the 4 boat classes: single-person dinghy - Hansa 2.3 Men and Hansa 2.3 Women; Open Hansa 303 (2-person dinghy) plus the International 2.4mR (single-person keelboat). Not enough countries entered for the 2.4mR class, so this event was cancelled. The Philippine Institute of Sports Complex (also known as the PhilSports Complex) is a national sports complex of the Philippines. It is located in Meralco Avenue in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The Philippines made its Paralympic Games debut at the 1988 Summer Paralympics in Seoul and has been fielding athletes up to the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
