Philippe B is a francophone singer-songwriter based in Montreal. Biography Born Philippe Bergeron in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada, Philippe B is the former lead vocalist for Gwenwed. He was also a session guitarist for Pierre Lapointe on his Pierre Lapointe (album), eponymous album. He released his first self-titled solo album in 2005 on label Proxenett Records. That same year he played at the ''Festival de musique emergente'' in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, where he also played the song ''Philadelphia'' for television show ''Mange ta ville''. He then set off on a promotional tour in Québec, which ended in 2006 with a show at Les FrancoFolies de Montréal. He was also chosen to participate in the ''Sacré Talent'' event for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Radio-Canada. In 2008 he released his second album ''Taxidermie'', also on Proxenett. Rouyn-Noranda
Rouyn-Noranda (; Canada 2021 Census, 2021 population 42,313) is a city on Osisko Lake in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec, Canada. The city of Rouyn-Noranda is coextensive with a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) and Census geographic units of Canada, census division (CD) of Quebec of the same name. Their geographical code is 86. History The city of Rouyn (named for Jean-Baptiste Rouyn, a captain in the Régiment Royal Roussillon of Louis-Joseph de Montcalm) appeared after copper was discovered in 1917. Noranda (a contraction of "North Canada") was created later around the Noranda (mining company), Horne mine and foundry. Both were officially constituted as cities in 1926, then merged in 1986. Malajube
Malajube is a Canadian francophone indie rock band formed in Montreal, Quebec. History Formed by a group of friends in Sorel-Tracy, Québec, the band made itself known in 2004 with the release of its first album, '' Le Compte complet''. Critics welcomed the disc with positive reviews, which allowed the group to become instantly famous in the Quebec music scene. Several of its songs, such as "Le Métronome" and "La Valérie", were prominent mainstays on several Quebec radio stations. For the production of the album, the group turned to Martin Pelland from fellow Montreal band The Dears.
