Philipp Raimund
Philipp Raimund (born 23 July 2000) is a German ski jumper and representative of the club SC 1906 Oberstdorf. He won a bronze medal in large hill competition at the 2023 European Games. Career Raimund made his debut in the Alpen Cup competition in 2015. In January 2017, in his first start in the FIS Cup, he took 7th place in the large hill competition in Zakopane. He took part in the 2018 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships and won the gold medal in the team competition (with Justin Lisso, Cedrik Weigel and Constantin Schmid). During the competition on 4 March 2018, he scored his first points in the Continental Cup, taking 21st place. At the 2019 World Junior Championships, he again won the gold medal in the men's team (with Luca Roth, Kilian Märkl and Constantin Schmid). On 29 December 2019, he made his debut in the World Cup, taking 34th place in the competition in Oberstdorf held as part of the 68th Four Hills Tournament. Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze
Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze (''Heini Klopfer Ski Flying Hill'') is a ski flying hill in Oberstdorf, Germany. It was opened in 1950, and was later renamed after its architect, Heini Klopfer. A total of 21 world records have been set on the hill. The venue should not be confused with the Schattenberg ski jumping hill, also in Oberstdorf, about to the north. History 1949: Plans and realisation In 1949, they were originally discussing about whether they should just rather enlarge the existing Schattenbergschanze or build a complete new hill with calculation point at K120. Three ski jumpers Heini Klopfer, Sepp Weiler and Toni Brutscher together made a final decision to build a complete new hill and they found the perfect location. Inspired by Planica, they wanted to beat legendary Bloudkova velikanka in Slovenia, as the long time world record breaking and leading hill. 2019 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships
The FIS Nordic Junior and U23 World Ski Championships 2019 took place in Lahti, Finland from 19 January to 27 January 2019. This was the 42nd Junior World Championships and the 14th Under-23 World Championships in nordic skiing. This was the first championship where women compete in nordic combined. Ayane Miyazaki of Japan became the first female junior world champion by winning the normal hill/5 kilometre event on 23 January 2019. Luca Joachim Raimund (born 9 April 2005) is a German professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Fortuna Düsseldorf. Club career Raimund joined the youth academy of VfB Stuttgart in 2019. The 2022–23 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 44th FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 26th official World Cup season in ski flying, and the 12th World Cup season for women. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2025
The 44th FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was held from 26 February to 9 March 2025 in Trondheim, Norway. Host selection The location was scheduled to be decided in May 2020 during the 52nd FIS Congress in Pattaya, Thailand, but that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The vote instead took place during a video conference on 3 October 2020. Trondheim won the bid to host the event unanimously as there were no opposing bids submitted. This was the second time the city is hosting the Championships, having hosted it in 1997. The city had also submitted a bid for 2023, but lost out to Planica, Slovenia. It was the sixth time for Norway to host the Championships. The Granåsen Ski Centre, which was also used during Trondheim's hosting of the 1997 Championships, was the main venue where the competitions were held.
