Philip Joseph Hughes Jr.
Philip Joseph Hughes Jr. (born ) known as The East Bay Strangler, is an American convicted serial killer. He killed at least three young women in Contra Costa County throughout the 1970s with the help of his ex-wife, Suzanne Perrin. He is currently serving life imprisonment at California Correctional Institution. Known victims Maureen Field On November 14, 1972, Maureen Field, 19, was waiting for her father to pick her up after ending her shift at Kmart, when Hughes offered her a ride. When her father, Joe Field, drove up to the store, he learned she had left earlier, but was not concerned. Two days later the family received an anonymous phone call from a man saying, "I'm calling about your daughter. She's dead and I killed her." The man never called again. Roger Kibbe
Roger Reece Kibbe (May 21, 1939 – February 28, 2021) was an American serial killer and rapist known as the " I-5 Strangler". Kibbe found all but one of his victims on freeways around Sacramento, California. In 1991, he was sentenced to 25 years to life imprisonment for the death of Darcie Frackenpohl. Criminal investigation and incarceration Kibbe was first arrested for assault and battery in 1987 after attempting to handcuff prostitute Debra Ann Guffie. Guffie fought back and a police officer heard her screaming. With Guffie's testimony, Kibbe was convicted and sentenced to 8 months in jail, during which time police put together the murder case against him. Kibbe was arrested in 1988 for murdering Darcie Frackenpohl the previous year. He was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Joseph Naso (born January 7, 1934), also known as Crazy Joe or the Double Initial Killer, is an American serial killer and serial rapist sentenced to death for the murders of at least four women. Biography Naso was born on January 7, 1934, in Rochester, New York. After serving in the United States Air Force in the 1950s, he met his first wife. Their marriage lasted for eighteen years, but after the divorce, Naso continued visiting his ex-wife, who lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. The couple had a son who later developed schizophrenia, and Naso spent his later years caring for him. Naso took classes in various San Francisco colleges in the 1970s and lived in the Mission District of San Francisco and then in Piedmont, California, in the 1980s. Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. (born November 8, 1945) is an American serial killer known as the Golden State Killer, the Original Night Stalker, and the East Area Rapist, who committed at least 13 murders and numerous rapes and burglaries across California between 1974 and 1986. The crimes began in northern California where DeAngelo committed a minimum of 120 burglaries and one murder in the San Joaquin Valley before moving to Sacramento County, where he committed at least 51 rapes and two more murders from 1976 to 1979. Franklin Lynch is an American serial killer who is currently housed at San Quentin State Prison's death row. Convicted of the murders of three elderly women in successive months during the summer of 1987, Lynch is the prime suspect in 10 other murders of elderly women that took place in San Leandro, which were called publicly "The Day Stalker Murders."
