Phibs
Phibs is the pseudonym of Tim De Haan (born 1974), a notable graffiti artist operating out of Sydney, Australia. Biography Phibs was born in a coastal town in Narooma, New South Wales, Australia before moving to Sydney in the late 1980s and then Melbourne in 2001. Phibs has been commissioned to large scale artworks by companies such as Rip Curl and Absolut Vodka. He also has been commissioned to decorate a number of buildings across Sydney such as jivamukti yoga in Newtown, and a number of murals throughout the city of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. He has also travelled to countries outside of Australia where his work can also be seen on walls in Amsterdam, Brooklyn, Miami and New York. Phibs is still a prominent member of the Fitzroy-based Everfresh Studio Collective, alongside street artists Rone and Mike Makka. Jon Reiss
Jon Reiss is a film producer and director, and an author. He has made the feature film ''Cleopatra's Second Husband'' (1998) and the documentaries ''Better Living Through Circuitry'' (1999) and ''Bomb It'' (2007). He has directed music videos for artists, including Nine Inch Nails, Slayer, Danzig, and the Black Crowes. Career Film Reiss graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics, Magna Cum Laude at the University of California, Berkeley and earned a Master in Fine Arts in Film and Television Production at the University of California, Los Angeles. He started working in film in 1981 with Target Video until 1983, where he worked on numerous documentaries about the West Coast punk scene, many of which were titled "Underground Forces". ''Bomb It'' is an international graffiti and street art documentary directed by Jon Reiss that premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. Filmed on five continents, featuring cities such as New York, Cape Town, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Berlin and Sao Paulo, ''Bomb It'' explores the interplay between worldwide graffiti movements, the global proliferation of "Quality of Life" laws, and the fight for control over public space. Chali 2na
Charles Stewart (born June 26, 1971), better known as Chali 2na, is an American painter and rapper, associated with the groups Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli. He is known for his bass-baritone and quick delivery rapping style. Personal life Early life As a young boy, Stewart moved to South Central Los Angeles, where the group Jurassic 5 was formed in 1993. He was raised by his grandmother, a practising Christian, he later converted to Islam. His stage name is a reference to Charlie the Tuna, the deep-voiced animated mascot of StarKist Tuna.
