Peyret-Mauboussin
Peyret-Mauboussin was a French aircraft manufacturer of the late 1920s and early 1930s. History The firm was formed by Louis Peyret and Pierre Mauboussin in 1928 with the aim of designing and constructing a series of light sporting civil aircraft. Three types of single-engined aircraft were produced before Mauboussin left the firm in 1932 in order to form his own company. Peyret-Mauboussin PM XI
The Peyret-Mauboussin PM XI was a French high-wing touring aircraft of the early 1930s. Development The PM XI was designed by Peyret-Mauboussin as a Salmson-engined two-seat touring and sporting aircraft of wooden construction, an enlarged and more powerful development of the single-seat Peyret-Mauboussin PM X.NACA report Two examples were built. Operational history Two PM.XIs were built in parallel. The airframe c/n 02 was finished first and first flew on 9 July 1930. It was registered as ''F-AJUL''. c/n 01 ''F-AKFD'' was ordered by the French Service Technique. In July ''F-AJUL'' took part in the Challenge International de Tourisme 1930 touring aircraft contest, piloted by Charles Fauvel, but damaged a landing gear in a compulsory landing. Peyret-Mauboussin PM X
The Peyret-Mauboussin PM X, PM 4 or Mauboussin M.10 was a low power, single-seat, high wing cantilever monoplane. Only one was built but it set several records in the under class both as a landplane and a floatplane. Design and development The Peyret-Mauboussin PM X was the first of three designs to come from the firm formed by Pierre Mauboussin and Louis Peyret in 1928. It was designed to be as simple, inexpensive and cheap to run as possible to encourage more people to fly and was originally intended to compete at the September 1928 Orly International Lightplane Competition (''Concourse d'avions légere'') but was not completed in time. It had a one-piece wing, straight-tapered in plan out to elliptical tips and mounted on top of the fuselage. Peyret-Mauboussin PM XII
The Mauboussin M.112, M-12 or Mauboussin M.XII was originally called the Peyret-Mauboussin PM XII and was renamed when Mauboussin founded his own company in 1931, ending his partnership with Louis Peyret. It was a French, single-engine, two-seat, low cantilever wing touring monoplane. At least six were built. Design and development The low, cantilever wing of the M.112 was built in three parts, a tapered centre-section which was part of the fuselage and trapezoidal outer panels with elliptical tips. Its aspect ratio of 9.5 was high for the time. The outer panels carried mild dihedral and full-span, narrow-chord ailerons. The wings were completely wooden, with twin box spars and alder plywood skin. It was powered by an uncowled Salmson 9Ad nine-cylinder radial engine with its fuel tanks in the wing centre-section. Avions Mauboussin is a French aircraft manufacturer created in the 1930s. Formation Pierre Mauboussin had been in partnership with Louis Peyret from 1928 and had jointly designed three types of light sporting aircraft.
