Steve Pettifer
Stephen Robert Pettifer (born September 21, 1970) is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester in England. Education Pettifer completed his Bachelor of Science degree and PhD in the Department of Computer Science, and work on virtual reality under the supervision of Adrian West in 1999. Research and career Pettifer's research interests are centred on the design of advanced interfaces for computer systems, in particular: scientific visualisation, scholarly publishing, and virtual reality. His main research project revolves around Utopia Documents, a novel tool for interacting with the scientific literature. Kayne Pettifer
Kayne Pettifer (born 22 January 1982) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Pettifer first attracted the talent scouts when he was awarded the Larke Medal for his outstanding performance during the Australian Vic Country's Under 18 team at the 2000 AFL Under 18 Championships. Later in the 2000 National AFL Draft Kayne Pettifer was selected by the Richmond Football Club at number 9 overall, which was unexpected for such a short forward. Julian Pettifer OBE (born 21 July 1935) is an English television journalist. He was president of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and is vice president of the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts and the RSPB. He was voted BAFTA 'Reporter of the Year' for his coverage of the war in Vietnam in 1968. James Pettifer is a British academic, author and journalist who has specialised in Balkan affairs. He was born in 1949 in Hereford and was educated at King's School, Worcester, and Hertford College, Oxford. Pettifer has travelled extensively in Greece, Turkey and the Balkans and he has written several tourist guides to the region, including the ''Blue Guide to Albania and Kosovo'', one of the few such guides to the area. Brian Pettifer (born 1953) is a British actor who has appeared in many television shows, and also on stage and in film. He is the younger brother of folk musician Linda Thompson. Biography He intended to become a photographer, but pursued a career as an actor. He appeared as a child in the BBC's '' This Man Craig'' and '' Dr Finlay's Casebook'', and ''Madame Bovary'' (with his friend Alex Norton) which gave him an avid interest in acting on television. Julian Barratt Pettifer (born 4 May 1968) is an English comedian, actor and musician. As a comedian and comic actor, he is known for his use of surreal humour and black comedy. During the 2000s he was part of The Mighty Boosh comedy troupe alongside comedy partner Noel Fielding. Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Barratt was educated at the University of Reading.
