Petropars Group
PetroPars () is an Iranian oil and gas engineering services company, which is a subsidiary of NICO and a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company. History Petropars Company was established in 1997 by the Naftiran Intertrade (subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company) with the aim of implementing the development plan of South Pars Phase 1 as an Iranian capital general contractor company using the buyback method. The company's headquarters is located in Tehran. Petropars' main activity so far has been focused on the development of gas fields, the bulk of which relates to the development projects of Phases 1, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 19 of the South Pars gas field. Other projects carried out by this company include the development of Kish gas field, the development of Farzad gas field, as well as the development of Cabinda North field and revamping an oil export terminal in Venezuela. Naftiran Intertrade Company S.à r.l. (NICO) is a Swiss-based subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). NICO is a general contractor for the oil and gas industry. NIOC buys the vast majority of Iran's gasoline imports. NICO is a key player in Iran's energy sector. South Pars/North Dome Gas-Condensate Field
The South Pars/North Dome field is a natural-gas condensate field located in the Persian Gulf. Kish Gas Field
Kish gas Field is a giant gas field close to Kish Island in the Persian Gulf. It is one of the NIOC Recent Discoveries which was discovered in 2006 and holds of gas in place of which is recoverable. The field also holds at least of condensate of which at least are recoverable. The field gas is sweet, it contains 50-80 PPM hydrogen sulphide. Farzad-B
Farzad-B'' is an off-shore natural gas field 20 kilometres off Farsi Island in Iran. The total in-place reserves of the gas field are around of which around 60 percent is recoverable. The gas field was discovered in 2008 by a consortium of three Indian companies, led by the state-owned ONGC Videsh with a 40% stake; the other companies were Indian Oil Corporation (40%) and Oil India (20%). The consortium had signed an exploration agreement in 2002 for the Farsi block, where the gas field was found. The gas field was expected to produce of gas per day after the first phase of development.
