Petr Wajsar
Petr Wajsar (born 14 November 1977) is a Czech composer. His work has been performed by the Czech Philharmonic, the Berg Orchestra, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra. He is also known for composing the soundtrack for the 2024 video game expansion '' Factorio: Space Age''. Career Wajsar's music has been performed by the Berg Orchestra. In 2015, under the direction of Peter Vrábel, they performed Wajsar's ''Lime sinfonietta'', an audio-visual collaboration with filmmakers Marek Bures and Michael Gahut, at the Prague Spring International Music Festival. In 2016, the Czech Philharmonic performed Wajsar's "Four Angry Men and an Orchestra" at their annual open air concert, a piece featuring bassoons. In 2017, at Prague Spring, Wajsar's "The Rest is Song" – a piece about the history of music in the 20th century – was premiered by the Berg orchestra with conductor Jan Kučera; Barbora Vacková described Wajsar as eclectic. The Czech News Agency (), abbreviated to ČTK, is a national public service news agency in the Czech Republic. It provides its services in Czech and English. History ČTK was founded on 28 October 1918, on the same day as Czechoslovakia, as Czechoslovak News Agency. Jiří Suchý
Jiří Suchý (born 1 October 1931) is a Czechs, Czech comedian, poet, lyricist, prolific songwriter and occasional film-maker and prose writer. Plenty of his songs have become extremely popular within several successive generations. Currently he is the owner of the theatre Semafor (theater), Semafor in Prague where he has performed for several decades and which he helped to establish in 1959. He used to write and perform within an artistic couple with Jiří Šlitr, together they wrote the jazz opera ''A Walk Worthwhile''. After the death of Šlitr in December 1969, Suchy formed a new duo with the actress Jitka Molavcová. Jiří Šlitr
Jiří Šlitr (15 February 1924 in Zálesní Lhota near Jilemnice – 26 December 1969 in Prague) was a Czech songwriter, pianist, singer, actor and painter. Together with Jiří Suchý he significantly influenced Czech pop music and theatre in the 1960s. Biography Jiří Šlitr went to gymnasium in Jilemnice, then in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. He graduated in 1943 and worked as a clerk in Bělá pod Bezdězem until the end of World War II.Fikejz (2008), p. 361 He then studied law at Charles University in Prague and in 1949 received a doctorate in law (academic degree JUDr. – he never practiced as a lawyer, but was later nicknamed ''Doctor Piano'').
