Peter Welch (actor)
Peter William Welch (30 March 1922 – 20 November 1984) was a British actor who appeared in television programmes including ''Dixon of Dock Green'', ''Z-Cars'', '' Spy Trap'', '' Softly, Softly'', '' Doctor Who'' and ''Danger Man'' with Patrick McGoohan. He spent several years touring in the theatre with a repertory company he founded, and began playing character parts in films from the mid 1950s. The Android Invasion
''The Android Invasion'' is the fourth serial of the thirteenth season of the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts on BBC1 from 22 November to 13 December 1975. The serial is set on the planet Oseidon and in England. In the serial, the alien race the Kraals plot to wipe out humanity with a virus to prepare the Earth for their invasion. ''The Silent Enemy'' is a 1958 British action film directed by William Fairchild. It stars Laurence Harvey as Lionel "Buster" Crabb and describes his exploits during World War II. Based on Marshall Pugh's book ''Commander Crabb'', the film followed the publicity created by Crabb's mysterious disappearance and likely death during a Cold War incident a year earlier. It was the first Universal Pictures film in SuperScope. The film depicts events in Gibraltar harbour during the World War II Italian frogman and manned torpedo attacks, although the film's depiction of the events is highly fictionalised. The show is set in Emmerdale (known as Beckindale until 1994), a fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales. Created by Kevin Laffan, ''Emmerdale Farm'' was first broadcast on 16 October 1972. ''Calculated Risk'' is a 1963 British crime thriller film directed by Norman Harrison. Plot Bank robber Kip is released from Wormwood Scrubs Prison on a snowy morning. He goes to visit the grave of his wife who died while he was in prison. Back home he starts to plan a bank robbery based on idea a co-prisoner had told in prison before dying. This involves breaking into a basement bank vault via the cellar of a bombed house and interconnecting old air-raid shelter. A gang of men is recruited to execute the robbery by Steve, Kip's young brother-in-law, who drove him home upon his release, and who, because of his planning expertise, has assumed the leadership.
