Peter Tiberio
Peter Tiberio (born April 26, 1989) is an American rugby union player who plays for the Seattle Seawolves in Major League Rugby (MLR). At 5'11", 180 lbs, he plays wing for the United States national rugby sevens team and has represented the United States in the IRB Sevens World Series. Tiberio first represented the U.S. in the IRB Sevens circuit at the Hong Kong Sevens in March 2011. Tiberio also represented the United States at the 2011 Pan American Games, where Tiberio and his teammates earned a bronze medal. College & youth career Tiberio first rose to national prominence in his college playing days with the University of Arizona Wildcats, even though he did not take up the sport of rugby until he was a freshman in college. Tiberio was named to the All-American team three years in a row. Rugby Mag named Tiberio as its 2011 College 7s Player of the Year. 2009 IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy
The 2009 IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy is the second edition of the second-tier world championship for Under 20 national teams. The event is organised by rugby's governing body, the International Rugby Board (IRB). This competition, which is contested by eight men's junior national teams, was held in Nairobi, Kenya from April 21 to May 3. The competition was won by Romania. Original plans called for them to receive an automatic berth into the following year's edition of the IRB Junior World Championship, the top tier of the IRB under-20 championship; however, Romania ultimately did not receive that berth after the Junior World Championship was reduced from 16 teams to 12. Seattle Seawolves
The Seattle Seawolves are an American professional rugby union team based in Tukwila, Washington. The team was founded in 2017 and competes in Major League Rugby (MLR), the top-level rugby union competition in the United States that began play in 2018. The Seawolves won two MLR championships in 2018 and 2019, and lost in the 2022 final. They play at Starfire Sports, a 4,500-seat stadium in Tukwila that primarily serves soccer teams. History The team was founded in 2017 by an investor group headed by Adrian Balfour and Shane Skinner.
