Peter Stroud
Peter Stroud is a US guitarist best known for his work with Sheryl Crow, Don Henley, Pete Droge, and Sarah McLachlan. He is cofounder of 65amps, a company manufacturing guitar amplifiers. Biography Peter Stroud was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was raised and received early education in Greensboro, NC. During his high school years, he attended The Principia Upper School in St. Louis and Greensboro Day School in his hometown, graduating class 1977. In the mid-late 90s, Stroud played with Pete Droge. It was during this period that he met Sheryl Crow, and in late 1998 she asked him to join her band in support of her third release, ''Globe Sessions''. This musical relationship has lasted for over eleven years, where he eventually served as Sheryl’s music director. Greensboro (; ) is a city in Guilford County, North Carolina, United States, and its county seat. At the 2020 census, its population was 299,035; it was estimated to be 307,381 in 2024. ''Live by Request'' is a television show that aired on the A&E Network from 1996 to 2004. Hosted by Mark McEwen, the show featured notable artists holding concerts where the set list would be determined by viewer phone calls. The show was created based on an idea by Tony Bennett, who starred in its first episode on Valentine's Day 1996; during that episode, 1.5 million calls came in from viewers with requests. The show won the Emmy Award for Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program in 1996. It also won a CableACE Award. "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" is a 1950 song by Hank Williams. It was Williams' second number-one single on the Country & Western chart. "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" stayed on the charts for 21 weeks, with five weeks at the top.
