Peter Gordon Saunders (born 1948) is an Australian social researcher. He is a professor and Director of the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales. He was elected Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia in 1995 and in the 2022 Queen's Birthday Honours he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia. Peter Robert Saunders
Peter Robert Saunders (born 1950) is a British sociologist. He was born in Croydon and educated at Selhurst Grammar School for Boys. He gained a BA in Sociology from the University of Kent, and a PhD from Chelsea College, while also acting as a Research Officer at the University of Essex. In 1976 he joined the University of Sussex, becoming Professor of Sociology in 1988. He was Research Manager at the Australian Institute of Family Studies from 1999 to 2000, and then Social Research Director at the Centre for Independent Studies The Centre for Independent Studies (CIS) is an Australian libertarian think tank founded in 1976 which specialises in public policy research. Peter Saunders (impresario)
Sir Peter Saunders (23 November 1911 – 6 February 2003) was an English theatre impresario, notable for his production of the long-running Agatha Christie murder mystery, ''The Mousetrap''. Early life and career Saunders was born in Swiss Cottage, London. His father died in a swimming accident (with the boy on his back), and he was subsequently educated at Oundle School and in Lausanne, Switzerland, thanks to an aunt's sponsorship. Although his mother advised him to get a job with Harrods after completing his education, he instead followed his older brother, the film director Charles Saunders, into showbusiness, working at a film studio as a cameraman and director. Following spells as a newspaper reporter and press agent (to Harry Roy, among others), he served in the Second World War as an Army captain in the Intelligence Corps, and following the end of hostilities, he moved into theatre production.
