Peter Quiel
Peter John Baltazar Quiel (born October 31, 1997) is a Filipino volleyball player. He played with the FEU Tamaraws collegiate men's collegiate volleyball team. He last played for the PGJC-Navy he Sea Lions in the Spikers' Turf. Career Collegiate Quiel made his first game appearance with the FEU Tamaraws is in UAAP Season 78 where they failed to advance in the Semis after being placed in 5th. In UAAP Season 79 t79, FEU Tamaraws gets back onto the Semis after 2 years of final four appearance drought. They failed to reach the finals after being defeated by NU Bulldogs in the stepladder semifinals. In UAAP Season 80, they succeeded to getting their final four appearance after being ranked at No. 2 in the preliminary round. They failed to reach the finals after losing against Ateneo in the semis. In UAAP Season 81, they got an 11-3 win-loss record in the preliminary round. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. 2024 Spikers' Turf Open Conference
The 2024 Spikers' Turf Open Conference was the eighteenth conference and the opening of the seventh season of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament began on March 13 and ended on May 10, 2024. A total of nine teams were battling for the championship title, including the three newly formed teams, namely the Criss Cross King Crunchers, Maverick Hard Hitters, and RichMarc Sports 3B Elite Spikers. The Cignal HD Spikers emerged as the champions of this conference, bagging their fifth title. They defeat the newcomers of the league, Criss Cross King Crunchers, in two games. PGJC-Navy Sea Lions won the bronze over the D' Navigators Iloilo via a superior points ratio. Jude Garcia bagged the Conference MVP award, while Bryan Bagunas won the Finals MVP plum. The 2022 Spikers' Turf Open Conference was the fifteenth conference of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament were held at Paco Arena, Manila from 30 August to 6 October 2022 with a total of seven teams. The Spikers' Turf returned after a three-year absence, with its last tournament played being the 2019 Open Conference. NU-Sta. Elena Nationals defeated the reigning champions Cignal HD Spikers in the championship match best-of-three series to clinched their first ever gold of the tournament. The 2018 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference is the revival conference of the Spikers' Turf. After the 2016 season of the Spikers' Turf, its affiliate league, the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), assumed the tournaments of the Spikers' Turf under its men's division until the collegiate conference of year 2018.
