Peter Morén (drummer)
Tad Morose is a Swedish power metal band. Formed in Bollnäs in 1991, they are led by guitarist Christer "Krunt" Andersson. Their style has been described as "a power/classic heavy metal hybrid with slight progressive tendencies". History Tad Morose's original lineup consisted of Christer Andersson, Per-Ola Olsson, and Dan-Erik Eriksson. Their full-length debut was ''Leaving the Past Behind'', released in 1993. In the subsequent decade the band went through numerous lineup changes, with Andersson as the only consistent member, and released a total of seven albums. A relative success came to the band with the arrival of lead singer Urban Breed, who appears on four albums, including highlights ''Undead'' (2000) and ''Matters of the Dark'' (2002). The band released ''Modus Vivendi'' in 2004, signaling a shift away from symphonic and progressive metal toward a more traditional metal sound. In late 2004 Urban Breed departed. Power Metal
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within a symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent in, for example, extreme metal. Power metal bands usually have anthemic songs with fantasy-based subject matter and strong choruses, thus creating a theatrical, dramatic and emotionally "powerful" sound. "Riffs became labyrinthine, vocals scorched higher altitudes—and they even managed to crank out some more volume." Steel Attack
Steel Attack is a Swedish power metal band from Sala, formed in 1995. Biography Stefan Westerberg and Dennis Vestman formed Mayer's Eve in 1995. The band changed their name to Steel Attack in 1997 due to many coming and going members. The band started out with the style of European power metal bands, with lyrical content about epic battles, dragons and swords mixed with high-pitched vocals. Albums from that time is Where Mankind Fails (1999), Fall into Madness (2001) and the album Predator of the Empire (2003). However, with a change of vocalist in 2003 (Ronny Hemlin), the band and the 2004 album ''Enslaved'' got a new "direction," both musically and lyrically. Their old power metal sound was re-wrought to be more aggressive, and the standard lyrical content of most power metal bands (dragons, swords, etc.) was no longer used. Progressive Metal
Progressive metal (often shortened to prog metal) is a broad fusion music genre melding heavy metal music, heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified electric guitar, guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or quasi-classical compositions of the latter. The music typically showcases the extreme technical proficiency of the performers and usually uses unorthodox Chord progression, harmonies as well as complex rhythms with frequent Metre (music), meter changes and intense syncopation. Bollnäs () is a Swedish locality and the seat of Bollnäs Municipality, in Gävleborg County, Sweden.
