Peter Mennim
Peter Mennim (born 1955) is a British artist, based in Cambridge. He grew up in York, and was educated at Worksop College and Reading University. His commissions include a large group portrait for the 40th anniversary of Wolfson College, Cambridge (his father Michael Mennim having been the architect of its first buildings) and ''Group Portrait of the Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York'' held at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall, York and a portrait of Duncan Robinson, commissioned when master of Magdalene College, Cambridge. Cambridge
Cambridge ( ) is a List of cities in the United Kingdom, city and non-metropolitan district in the county of Cambridgeshire, England. The Crow (1994 Film)
''The Crow'' is a 1994 American supernatural superhero film directed by Alex Proyas and written by David J. Schow and John Shirley, based on the 1989 comic book series by James O'Barr. It stars Brandon Lee in his final film role, as Eric Draven, a rock musician who is resurrected from the dead to seek vengeance against the gang who murdered him and his fiancée. Lee was fatally wounded by a prop gun during filming. As he had finished most of his scenes, the film was completed through script rewrites, a stunt double and digital effects. After Lee's death, Paramount Pictures opted out of distribution and the rights were acquired by Miramax Films. The film is dedicated to Lee and his fiancée, Eliza Hutton. The Pogues
The Pogues are an English Celtic punk band founded in King's Cross, London, in 1982, by Shane MacGowan, Spider Stacy and Jem Finer. Originally named Pogue Mahone—an anglicisation of the Irish language, Irish phrase :wikt:póg mo thóin, ''póg mo thóin'', meaning "kiss my arse"—the band fused Irish traditional music with punk rock influences. Initially poorly received in traditional circles—folk musician Tommy Makem labelled the band "the greatest disaster ever to hit Irish music"—they were later credited with reinvigorating the genre. After their founding, the Pogues added more members, including James Fearnley and Cait O'Riordan, and built a reputation playing raucous live shows in London pubs and clubs.
