Peter Meade
Peter G. Meade is an American business executive, government official, and radio host who held various roles in the administration of Boston Mayor Kevin White, hosted a talk show on WBZ radio, and served as president of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate and the New England Council. Early life Meade was raised in Dorchester. His father was a guard at the Charles Street Jail and his mother was a homemaker. He graduated from Cathedral High School and Emerson College. After starting as director of community schools he was selected to lead the office of public service in 1974. In this role he oversaw the Little City Hall program and was the mayor's chief public safety liaison during the court-mandated desegregation of schools. The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA), formerly the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), is a Massachusetts public agency that serves as the municipal planning and development agency for Boston, working on both housing and commercial developments. As an agency concerned with urban planning, the BPDA does not consider requests for zoning variances from individual property owners. These are heard by the city's own Zoning Board of Appeals, a seven-person body appointed by the Mayor of Boston. David Finnegan
David Ignatius Finnegan (January 28, 1941 – October 12, 2015) was an American attorney, talk show host, and politician. He was a partner at Finnegan, Underwood, Ryan & Tierney. Political career Finnegan was a member of the Boston School Committee from 1975 to 1979 and served as its president from 1978 to 1979. He was a candidate for Mayor of Boston in 1979, finishing fourth out of six candidates with 14.59% of the vote. He ran again in 1983, finishing in third place with 24.99%. Talk show host Finnegan began his media career in 1979 as host of ''The Dave Finnegan Show'' on WBZ Radio. He subsequently hosted ''Weekend with Dave Finnegan'' on WNAC-TV.
