Peter Kruder
Peter Kruder (born 1967 in Vienna, Austria) is a Viennese artist, producer and DJ. Together with his partner Richard Dorfmeister he is the founder of the duo Kruder & Dorfmeister and the record label G-Stone Recordings. Since the release of the '' G-Stoned'' EP (G-Stone, 1994), Peter Kruder has produced a broad range of work. Career The Kruder & Dorfmeister releases '' DJ-Kicks: Kruder & Dorfmeister'' ( !K7, 1996) and '' The K&D Sessions'' (!K7, 1998) are considered pioneering in electronic music. The sound that was formulated became known as downtempo, showing that electronic music need not be confined to cold sounds and metallic beats but could embody sensuality and a deep soulfulness. Both releases have been global bestsellers, with ''K&D Sessions'' having sold more than one million copies worldwide and being considered one of the most influential albums of the 1990s. Shadow Records was launched in 1995 as a sub-label of Instinct Records, with a focus on the more organic side of the underground electronic music scene. The label's first release in 1995, ''Abstrackt Workshop'', featured performances by DJ Krush, Funki Porcini, and Marden Hill in addition to songs from labels like ''Pussyfoot'' and ''Yellow Productions''. In addition to the music published under his stage name, Waldeck, his label Dope Noir Records has been releasing his music as Saint Privat, Waldeck Sextet and Soul Goodman. Rockers Hi-Fi
Rockers Hi-Fi were an electronic dub/dance outfit formed in Birmingham, England in 1991 as Original Rockers. In 1994, they changed their name to Rockers Hi-Fi. Their music was quite popular across Europe as an extension and continuation of the dub music genre. Their first success came with a few tracks on the Beyond Records ''Ambient Dub'' series of compilations, and "Push Push" became a dancefloor hit at the beginning of the 90s. International DeeJay Gigolo Records is a German electronic music record label run by techno artist DJ Hell (real name Helmut Geier). The label was founded in Munich in 1996 by DJ Hell and DJ Upstart as an affiliate of label Disko B. It is Germany's most successful electronic music record label, specialising in electro, house and techno with 80's pop and disco influences. "Gigolo" has released records by Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, DJ Hell, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, The Penelopes, The Advent, Dopplereffekt, Fischerspooner, Tiga, Princess Superstar and Vitalic.
