Peter Hansen (basketball)
Peter Hansen (born February 15, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player. He played nine seasons in Australia across the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Perth Wildcats and the State Basketball League (SBL) with the Perry Lakes Hawks. After playing college basketball with the St. Mary's Rattlers, Hansen debuted for the Hawks in 1989 and won the SBL Most Valuable Player Award. Upon joining the Wildcats in 1991, he led the team to the NBL championship behind a grand final MVP performance. He went on to win an SBL championship with the Hawks in 1994 and a second NBL championship with the Wildcats in 1995. Early life Hansen was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. College career Hansen played college basketball at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, between 1984 and 1987. Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different Position (team sports), positions defined by the strategic role they play. Guard, forward and center are the three main position categories. The standard team features two guards, two forwards, and a center. Andrew Vlahov
Andrew Mitchell Vlahov (born 1 April 1969) is an Australian retired professional basketball player. He played his entire eleven-year professional career for the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL), with whom he won three championships in 1991, 1995 and 2000. Early life Vlahov was born in Perth to Eva (née Kampe) and Len Vlahov. His mother had arrived in Australia as a post-war refugee from Latvia, while his father was the son of Croatian immigrants. Both his parents were athletes, and represented Australia at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games which were held in Perth. Eva was a WA State Long jump champion while Len held the WA State Discus record for 20 consecutive years.
