Peter Allen Greenbaum (29 October 194625 July 2020), known professionally as Peter Green, was an English blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist who was the founder and original leader of the band Fleetwood Mac. Green formed the group in 1967 after a stint in John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and quickly established the new band as a popular live act in addition to a successful recording act, before departing in 1970. Green's songs, such as "Albatross (instrumental), Albatross", "Black Magic Woman", "Oh Well (song), Oh Well", "The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)" and "Man of the World (song), Man of the World", appeared on singles charts and several have been adapted by a variety of musicians. Daniel Boone (born Peter Charles Green; 31 July 1942 – 27 January 2023) was an English pop musician who became a one-hit wonder in the United States with the single " Beautiful Sunday" in 1972. The song was written by Boone and Rod McQueen and sold over 2,000,000 copies worldwide. It peaked at number 15 on The Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at the end of the summer of 1972, having already reached number 21 on the UK Singles Chart earlier during that same year. Peter Daniel Green (born 29 May 1978) is a retired Australian soccer referee in the Australian A-League. Green has been FIFA listed since 2006 and a member of the AFC Elite Referees Panel since 2008. He has refereed in three A-League Grand Final matches. He was the A-League referee of the year in 2013 and 2014. Career Green took up refereeing as a teenager, progressing to National Soccer League level in 2000. He has refereeing in the top tier of Australian soccer since 2002. Green was awarded a FIFA badge in 2006 and is eligible to referee international matches. He was also selected on the AFC Elite Referees Panel for the 2008 year and has refereed matches for AFC since. Peter Green (or Greene; March 13, 1868 – September 22, 1934) was a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and trainer with the Ottawa Hockey Club/Ottawa Senators. Green won ten Stanley Cup titles in his time with Ottawa, four as a trainer, and six as a coach. Green also was a trainer with the Ottawa Football Club and in lacrosse. Career Peter Green began his athletic career with the Ottawa Capitals field lacrosse team as a player in 1890. He would later become their trainer and coach. He coached the Ottawa Rough Riders football team from 1900 to 1903, during which they won two Canadian championships. In 1903, Green was hired by the Ottawa Hockey Club or "Silver Seven" as a trainer. In 1908, he was promoted to head coach to replace Alf Smith, who left to join the Kenora Thistles. Peter Henry Rae Green (born 30 January 1947) is an Australian-born gastroenterologist and Professor of Clinical Medicine and Director of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University, New York City. He is notable for his expertise is celiac disease and his research includes epidemiology, clinical manifestations, associated diseases and the pathophysiological mechanisms of the syndrome. Green has an active research collaboration with the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
